2018 BMW M5 shines at the Dubai Motor Show

Since it is based on the new 5-Series, the 2018 BMW M5’s styling looks familiar enough. However, that isn’t to say that this new M is lacking any of the ‘M-ness’. The front wears an aggressive face – helped by the large bumper with massive scoops in them, and the blacked-out Kidney grille along with the heavily sculpted hood and LED headlamps.

The front wheel arches are flared and also get side vents, not to forget the M-favorite ‘bat ears’ wing mirrors. At the rear there’s LED lights and an aggressively designed bumper with functional rear diffuser, which is complemented by quad exhaust pipes. Oh, the hood is aluminum-made, along with a carbon fiber roof and a performance yet lightweight exhaust system saves the much loathed bulk on this M.
The cabin of the 2018 BMW M5 is fully-loaded with leather upholstery, glossy piano black and aluminum trim, along with a raft of gadgets and customizations that would overwhelm even the most tech-savvy 14-year-old gadget geek. As one can expect, the quality of the materials used here is top-notch and the fit and finish is second to none. The classy yet modern M performance steering wheel looks dope as well.

The 2018 BMW M5 gets a feisty 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 that fires 600 angry German horses to all four contact patches – a first for an M5. Generating a mighty 750 newtons of pulling force, and fitted with a new 8-speed torque converter gearbox, the new M5 will rocket to 100 km/h in a mere 3.4 seconds. Equip it with the M Driver’s Package, and the world will become a blur as the new M5 flies past the 300 km/h barrier!
