A brief summary of the Land Rover Range Rover 2019

Land Rover vehicles have long been considered as some of the most capable off-road vehicles on the planet. This included the mighty Defender and Discovery models, the latter being more civilized as well. However, though the Defender was rugged as a mountain, and the Discovery offered owners an OK off-road/on-road blend, they still weren’t luxurious or premium. Fast-forward over four decades, and three iterations later, the fourth-generation Range Rover was out. But, despite its immense popularity in the UAE, the 2019 Land Rover Range Rover faces tough opponents such as the Bentley Bentayga, Lexus LX 570, and Volvo XC90.

Exterior

Over the decades that it has been around, the Land Rover Range Rover has retained its old-school, traditional SUV look without much alterations. However, the 2019 Range Rover, though still vast in its proportions, looks a lot more suave and urbane than before. The front fascia features a clamshell hood, chrome-layered, honeycomb-like grille, sleek HID headlights with their own unique LED daytime-running light design, and an aerodynamically-designed bumper with stylish air intakes, and a neatly-placed skid plate.

The elegant side profile of the new Range Rover highlights the short overhangs, massive but stunning-looking 21-inch alloy wheels, muscular yet artistic fender flares, and an overall smooth-flowing design. The rear has a protruding roof spoiler, split-folding tailgate, vertically-arranged LED taillights, and a short bumper with well-integrated dual-exhausts and skid plate. The 2019 Range Rover (LWB) stretches 5.200 meters in length, 2.073 meters in width, 1.868 meters in height, and boasts a wheelbase of 3.120 meters. The total cargo space behind the second row and the seats in place is a cavernous 639 liters.

Interior

The interior design and styling of the 2019 Range Rover is opulent, charismatic, and sophisticated. Few cars exist that can beat the Range Rover when it comes to utter comfort and unfettered luxury. There’s more than enough room in both the rows, and even taller occupants will be fine. The sheer attention to detail, along with the excellent quality of materials used in this cabin will leave many wanting for nothing more. It’s also a quiet cabin as NVH levels are low, thus making even long journeys would be a breeze.

The 2019 Range Rover can be had with so many features and tech, that it’s impossible for me to list all of them here. There’s adaptive air suspension, radar cruise control, adaptive headlights, panoramic sunroof, all-around parking sensors with surround camera, night vision, leather upholstery, multi-zone climate control, heated, cooled, and massaging seats, a fridge, rear-seat entertainment system, a 12-inch digital driver’s display, dual, 10-inch center touch-displays, and a 19-speaker premium sound system. As for safety tech, Land Rover has crammed everything they’ve got into this SUV.

Engine and performance

The 2019 Range Rover Autobiography LWB is powered by a 520-horsepower, 5.0-liter supercharged V8 that also creates 625 Nm of torque. Driving all four wheels via an 8-speed ZF gearbox, this 2.5-ton Range Rover can do 0-100 km/h in 5.4 seconds, and a top speed of 250 km/h.
