All New 2021 Peugeot 208 Makes GCC Debut

The Peugeot 208 has been at the receiving end of plenty of praise the world over. After much anticipation, the little French hatchback has finally made its GCC debut. Coming in two versions, the entry-level ‘Active’ and the fully-loaded ‘GT’, the 208 is a key player in the brand’s expansion strategy across the region.

The 208’s cool new exterior is now more seductive and purposeful, whilst the car’s interior includes premium materials and cutting-edge technology – including the latest evolution of its trademark PEUGEOT i-Cockpit. Available in two distinct trim levels, the base model ‘Active’, and top-of-the-range ‘GT’, the 208 is powered by a 1.2 liter turbo engine coupled to a 6-speed automatic transmission that makes 130 hp and 230 Nm of torque.

Longer, wider, and lower than the outgoing 208, this new generation model reveals a distinctive bodyline, suggesting sportiness with its clean, taut lines. There is also a clear touch of sensuality conferred by the wide-shaped wings and overall body curves - a discreet balance between soft and sporty. From the side, the new Peugeot 208 reveals its pared-back windscreen that allows space for a longer, sculpted bonnet.
