All new MG HS launched in the Middle East

Adding to its flourishing line-up that has seen the introduction of the MG RX8 and the MG 5 in the past few months, MG Motor announced the launch of the eagerly anticipated all-new HS in the Middle East. Attempting to put the ‘sport’ back into SUV, the MG HS offers drivers a 231 horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged engine under the hood, a 6-speed dual clutch automatic transmission, and bucket seats amongst a host of other features.

As with all MGs, it is extremely well equipped, but its unique character differentiates it from other cars on the market, as well as other SUVs in the MG line-up. It is positioned to appeal to customers who are looking to upgrade from their current vehicle and stand out from the crowd, both in terms of style and specification.”

With 360 Nm of torque on tap, the MG HS makes its sporting pretentions clear with paddle shifters located behind the steering wheel, a Super Sport drive mode button, red brake calipers, and a stylish set of 18-inch alloy wheels. While standard models send the power to the front wheels, the range-topping model offers all-wheel-drive for added safety and comfort.

Borrowing design cues from the acclaimed X-Motion concept car, the MG HS flaunts an attractive Star grille that incorporates the iconic MG badge. It is complemented by the smart use of chrome to frame the grille, foglamps and lower air intake, while two-tone headlights embedded with nine crystal LEDs are available in higher trim variants.

In terms of technology, the HS offers plenty, including a 12.3-inch Virtual Instrument Cluster Display that is the largest in its segment, and a 10-inch infotainment screen with built-in navigation, Apple Car and Android Auto connectivity.

Available in showrooms across the region, the MG HS wears a starting price of AED 66,660 and goes up to AED 79,510 for the full-option model.
