The Department of Traffic and Patrols in Ras Al Khaimah have installed new road radars as part of a traffic safety plan. They are aiming to curb the accidents that have been happening recently, as Colonel Abdullah Ali Al Munkis, Director of the Traffic and Patrol Department at Ras Al Khaimah Police said.

“Radars can detect not only speeding, but a whole range of driving offences,” he added.

They hope this plan will encourage people to slow down because they know they could get fined.
