Nissan introduces Shop at Home service during COVID 19

In response to the unique challenges posed by the COVID 19 pandemic, Nissan has introduced a unique Shop@Home service to bring the showroom experience directly to people’s homes. With the Shop@Home service, the most popular services, queries, and bookings associated with a trip to your local dealer can now be done digitally from the safety of your living room.

This includes a full virtual showroom experience, providing a 360-degree online tour around dealerships to discover vehicles, as well as options to buy. Nissan has grouped its digital and remote services under a new Shop@Home tab on its websites in the GCC, South Africa, Egypt, Turkey, and India. Services include a video call feature through which customers can speak to a dealer representative or request a callback or online chat.

Nissan Chairman of the Africa Middle East and India (AMI) region, Guillaume Cartier, said: “The digital space offers huge potential to revolutionize the vehicle purchase and ownership experience. At Nissan, we listened to customers during this challenging time, and have developed a range of online features and services that allow people to choose, compare, configure and even purchase a vehicle from the comfort and safety of their own homes.”

Buyers are who closer to finalizing a deal can also complete their purchase online with the help of a finance calculator and pre-loan assessment as well as warranty information. Customers who prefer to physically experience a Nissan vehicle of their choice can request a home test drive, with the car being dropped off and picked up at the customer’s location. Home maintenance of vehicles for existing customers is also available.

In addition to the Shop@Home features, Nissan’s website also has a complete section dedicated to customer wellbeing during the COVID-19 pandemic.
