With just a couple of days to go before the 2017 Dubai Motor Show, we sure are thrilled! If you are reading this, chances are that you are as well. So, let us get you warmed up on what you can expect to see at this year’s motor show from the stables of Toyota, Mitsubishi, and Kia.

Toyota

One of the most influential brands in the region, Toyota is expected to unveil the 2018 Land Cruiser Prado and the 2018 Mirai at this year's motor show. With its already futuristic (albeit slightly controversial) design, the Toyota Mirai is the only Hydrogen fuel-cell powered production car in the world. However, we don’t expect to see any radical changes in its 2018 avatar. Meanwhile, it will be easier to tell the 2018 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado apart from its outgoing model.

The exterior of the 2018 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado features a more aggressive yet cleaner look. The bodywork is draped in sharp lines with a bolder and more muscular front fascia, heavily sculpted hood, thoroughly redesigned headlamps and taillamps, plus all-new bumper design – both front and back, that come together to lend this SUV a very purposeful stance. Toyota has worked on the interior too and the 2018 Prado will boast better quality materials, better onboard technology, and more safety equipment than before.

Mitsubishi

Mitsubishi has long been a very popular in this region, and though yet to be confirmed for the 2017 Dubai Motor Show, we expect to find at least two new models at their stand. The first of these would be the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross. The Eclipse Cross is a crossover SUV with a coupe-ish rear-side profile, and the front borrows some inspiration from the carmaker’s Dynamic Shield design concept. With funky-looking crossovers being the current rage, the Eclipse Cross should garner some attention.

The second Mitsubishi car we expect to be showcased at this motor show is the new for 2018 Pajero. The Pajero has been one of the most popular and capable SUVs in the market. However, the current design has been around for a long time and an all-new model would make a lot of sense, keeping the ‘Pajero’ name tag competitive for years to come.

Kia

A key player in the region, Kia is renowned for its stylish and efficient vehicles. For the 2017 Dubai Motor Show, the Korean carmaker will likely drop the curtains on the hot-new 2018 Kia Stinger, and the 2018 Kia Niro hybrid.

The 2018 Kia Stinger is a high-performance, 4-door family sedan that is set to take the sports sedan fight straight to its German competition. Propulsion for the new 2018 Kia Stinger will be from two powertrains – a 251HP 2.0-liter turbo-four, and a more powerful 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 that will make 365HP and an impressive 510 Nm of torque. Also, a likely Kia candidate at the motor show will be the all-new Niro plug-in hybrid crossover SUV. The Niro will make use of an efficient internal combustion engine, along with a small tractive motor to ensure relatively quick progress and an overall efficient driving experience.
