What does Collision Detection mean?

A collection of sensors that work together to monitor the distance between the vehicle and the one in front of it. This feature is usually bundled with Automatic Emergency Braking that jams the brakes if the driver does not respond in time to prevent a collision.

What does ESC (Electronic Stability Control) mean?

A safety feature that improves the handling of a vehicle by detecting skids and compensating by adjusting braking pressure. This in turn helps maintain the intended direction of the vehicle.

What does Intelligent Emergency Call mean?

A button placed overhead in the cabin that is linked to emergency services (police, ambulance, fire department) and can be used in case of an emergency or severe accident.

What does Hill Descent Control mean?

A driver assistance system that maintains a slow, constant speed while descending a hill/ramp without the driver having to control the brake pedal.

What does Rear Crumple Zone mean?

Portion of a vehicle that absorbs impact in a rear-end collision.
