Dubai RTA and Continental join forces for truck safety awareness campaign

Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) joined forces with Continental for an extensive truck safety awareness campaign this month. Themed as "Together for Safety," the campaign looks to enlighten nearly 1900 truck drivers about road safety and help them in developing an understanding of crucial safety measures.

Continental and RTA will provide truck drivers with informative brochures and essential first aid kits and inform them on how to handle emergencies effectively. The first aid boxes provided will be one of the major attractions of the campaign as they’ll be having safety messages on them. 

As part of the campaign, truck drivers are set to receive information on numerous important topics, such as understanding the truck condition and roadworthiness, awareness of violations that could lead to traffic accidents, the dangers of stopping on the hard shoulder of the road, illegal parking in port premises, and the importance of parking in designated areas or rest stops.

This is not the first time the German brand has organised a campaign for truck drivers. The "Together for Safety" built on the success of previous campaigns and with these campaigns, Continental aims to achieve its Vision Zero goal: Zero Fatalities, Zero Injuries, Zero Crashes. Continental and RTA previously collaborated in 2022 to provide 1000 meals to drivers in Dubai over four days during Ramadan. Offering important safety advice for drivers to follow when fasting, allowing them to drive calmly and safely.
