Toyota RAV4 attracts practical buyers at Virtual Auto Show

An important player in the compact SUV segment, the RAV4 can be credited for performing an essential role in the development of this growing niche. Taking on the Honda CR-V, Mazda CX-5 and Nissan X-Trail, the Toyota RAV4 has been an attractive proposition to small families around the Middle East and continues to be so.
All-new in every way possible, the RAV4 makes use of the brand’s TNGA platform and is bigger and bolder than ever before. A large grille pronounced fender flares and bumper guards in the front and back connote its off-road prowess while sleek lines along the bodywork lend it an elegant aura. A significant upgrade over the outgoing model, the new RAV4 boasts a bright and spacious interior with a combination of soft touch materials and rubberized controls for a fine blend of elegance and ruggedness.
Pushed through an 8-speed automatic transmission, the 2.5-liter naturally aspirated 4-cylinder engine produces a respectable 203 horsepower and 242 Nm of torque. To take on varying terrain, the RAV4 is also armed with three drive modes and two multi-terrain modes that when paired with a full-time four-wheel-drive system make the little RAV4 nearly as capable as its elder siblings the Prado and Land Cruiser.
